sthoolabhug vaishvanarah prathamah padah
The first aspect is Vaiśvānara, the waking self. Its awareness faces outward. It has seven limbs and nineteen mouths, and it experiences the gross, physical world.
What it means
In waking life, attention constantly flows outward through the senses, the mind and the body's many channels. Notice how much of your day is spent outside yourself. That is only one of your states.
