Mahabharata 8.67.3 meaning
yada sabhayam kaunteyam anakshajnam yudhishthiram
akshajnah shakunir jeta tada dharmah kva te gatah
यदा सभायां कौन्तेयमनक्षज्ञं युधिष्ठिरम्।
अक्षज्ञः शकुनिर्जेता तदा धर्मः क्व ते गतः॥
When in the assembly the unskilled Yudhishthira was beaten by Shakuni, the master of dice, where had your dharma gone then?
What it means
Krishna's repeated question 'where was your dharma then?' asks us to be consistent. Fairness cannot be demanded only when we are losing. What we tolerate in good times comes back to us.हिंदी में अर्थ
जब सभा में जुए से अनजान युधिष्ठिर को पासों के उस्ताद शकुनि ने हराया, तब तुम्हारा धर्म कहाँ गया था?
कृष्ण का बार-बार पूछना 'तब तुम्हारा धर्म कहाँ था?' हमें सिखाता है कि न्याय केवल हारते समय नहीं माँगा जा सकता। जो हम करते-सहते हैं, लौटकर आता है।
