Mahabharata 5.93.3 meaning

kuroonam pandavanam cha shamah syad iti bharata aprayatnena veeranam etad yatitum agatah

Let there be peace between the Kurus and the Pandavas, Bharata, without the slaughter of heroes. That is what I have come to work for.

What it means
Krishna opens his speech in the Kaurava court by naming his only goal: peace without bloodshed. Even the most powerful person in the room chooses dialogue before force.

Spoken by Krishna.
