nityo dharmah sukhaduhkhe tv-anitye nityo jeevo dhatur asya tv-anityah tyaktv-anityam pratitishthasva nitye santushya tvam toshaparo hi labhah

Dharma is eternal; pleasure and pain are passing. The soul is eternal; its physical cause is passing. Let go of the passing and stand firm in the eternal. Be content — contentment is the greatest gain.

What it means
Moods, comforts and troubles come and go; your values and your inner self remain. Anchor yourself in what lasts, and you'll find the deep gain of contentment.
