Mahabharata 5.37.44 meaning

arthasiddhim param ichchan dharmam evaditash charet na hi dharmad apaity-arthah svargalokad ivamritam

If you want the highest success in your goals, practise what is right from the very start. Wealth never departs from righteousness, just as nectar never leaves heaven.

What it means
Integrity isn't a barrier to success — it's the foundation. Start honest and stay honest, and prosperity tends to follow and, more importantly, it tends to stay with you.

Spoken by Vidura.
