Mahabharata 5.34.22 meaning
riju pashyati yah sarvam chakshushanupibann iva
aseenam api tooshneekam anurajyanti tam prajah
ऋजु पश्यति यः सर्वं चक्षुषानुपिबन्निव।
आसीनमपि तूष्णीकमनुरज्यन्ति तं प्रजाः॥
The one who looks at everyone with an honest, open gaze, as though drinking them in with his eyes — people love him even when he sits silent.
