Mahabharata 5.33.23 meaning

The wise do not crave what cannot be had, do not insist on mourning what is lost, and do not lose their heads in a crisis.

What it means
Three habits protect your peace: let go of the impossible, stop replaying what is already gone, and stay clear-headed when things go wrong. Energy saved there can be spent on what you can change.

Spoken by Vidura.
