Yaksha: What is steadiness, what is courage, what is the best bath, and what is true giving? Yudhishthira: Steadiness is staying firm in one's duty, courage is mastering the senses, the best bath is washing away the mind's dirt, and true giving is protecting living beings.

What it means
A holy dip cleans the skin; letting go of resentment and envy cleans the mind. And charity is not only money: protecting any living being, a person, an animal, a tree, is the giving that counts most.

Spoken by Yaksha, Yudhishthira.
