Mahabharata 3.313.118 meaning

asmin mahamohamaye katahe soory-agnina ratridiv-endhanena masartudarvee-parighattanena bhootani kalah pachat-eeti varta

In this great pot of delusion, with the sun as fire and days and nights as fuel, stirring with the ladle of months and seasons, Time is cooking all living beings. That is the news.

What it means
The daily headline never changes: time is quietly cooking all of us. Every sunrise and season turns the ladle. Instead of panic, let it bring perspective, because what feels urgent today will soon be cooked away.

Spoken by Yudhishthira.
