vartitavyam kurushreshtha nityam dharmanuvartina
svam priyam samabhityajya yad yal lokahitam bhavet
वर्तितव्यं कुरुश्रेष्ठ नित्यं धर्मानुवर्तिना।
स्वं प्रियं समभित्यज्य यद्यल्लोकहितं भवेत्॥
O best of the Kurus, a ruler must always act in keeping with dharma, setting aside what he personally likes and doing whatever is good for the people.

नेतृत्व का अर्थ है अपनी पसंद को पीछे रखना। देश, कंपनी या घर, कुछ भी चलाओ, असली सवाल यह नहीं कि मुझे क्या चाहिए, बल्कि यह कि जिनकी ज़िम्मेदारी मुझ पर है उनका भला किसमें है।
