Mahabharata 12.316.12 meaning
anrishansyam paro dharmah kshama cha paramam balam
atmajnanam param jnanam na satyad vidyate param
Kindness is the highest dharma, and patient forgiveness is the greatest strength. Knowing the Self is the highest knowledge, and nothing is higher than truth.
What it means
Four pillars in one verse. Forgiveness is called strength, not weakness, because it takes more power to let go than to hit back. Add kindness, self-knowledge and honesty, and you have a complete life.
Spoken by Narada.
