If someone pierces you hard with arrows of insulting words, stay calm. The one who, though provoked, keeps patient takes away the other person's merit for himself.
What it means
When someone insults you, retaliating puts you on their level. Staying calm is not weakness; it is the stronger move. The person who loses their temper loses more than the one who keeps it.
Spoken by Hamsa (the Swan).
