Mahabharata 12.26.20 meaning
shokasthanasahasrani harshasthanashatani cha
divase divase moodham avishanti na panditam
Thousands of reasons for sorrow and hundreds of reasons for joy enter the foolish person day after day, but not the wise one.
What it means
Life hands everyone a steady stream of triggers. The difference is not what happens, but how much of it you let in. A wise mind notices events without being knocked around by every one of them.
Spoken by Vyasa.
