Mahabharata 12.26.23 meaning
sukhasyanantaram duhkham duhkhasyanantaram sukham
na nityam labhate duhkham na nityam labhate sukham
After happiness comes sorrow, and after sorrow comes happiness. No one has sorrow forever, and no one has happiness forever.
What it means
If today is hard, it will not stay this way. If today is wonderful, enjoy it without clinging. Life moves like a wheel, and remembering that keeps you hopeful in bad times and humble in good ones.
Spoken by Vyasa.
