adyaiva kuru yach chreyo ma tva kalotyagad ayam
akriteshv-eva karyeshu mrityur vai samprakarshati
अद्यैव कुरु यच्छ्रेयो मा त्वा कालोऽत्यगादयम्।
अकृतेष्वेव कार्येषु मृत्युर्वै सम्प्रकर्षति॥
Do what is good for you today itself; do not let this time slip past you. Death drags people away while their work is still unfinished.

जो कल्याणकारी है, उसे आज ही करो; यह समय हाथ से न निकलने दो। मृत्यु मनुष्य को उसके अधूरे कामों के बीच ही खींच ले जाती है।
जो माफ़ी माँगनी है, माता-पिता को जो फ़ोन करना है, जो आदत शुरू करनी है, आज ही करो। 'बाद में' एक ऐसा वादा है जिसे जीवन हमेशा नहीं निभाता।
