Mahabharata 12.168.35 meaning

yad yat tyajati kamanam tat sukhasyabhipooryate kamanusaree purushah kaman anu vinashyati

Whatever desire one gives up, to that extent one's happiness becomes full. A person who keeps chasing desires is ruined along with them.

What it means
Every want you drop leaves a little more room for contentment. Chasing every craving is like running after a horizon. Try letting go of one unnecessary want this week and notice the lightness.

Spoken by Brahmin.
