Mahabharata 12.167.19 meaning
kutah kritaghnasya yashah kutah sthanam kutah sukham
ashraddheyah kritaghno hi kritaghne nasti nishkritih
कुतः कृतघ्नस्य यशः कुतः स्थानं कुतः सुखम्।
अश्रद्धेयः कृतघ्नो हि कृतघ्ने नास्ति निष्कृतिः॥
Where is fame, where is a place, where is happiness for the ungrateful? No one can trust an ungrateful person, and there is no atonement for ingratitude.
What it means
Forgetting those who helped you quietly destroys your own standing. People stop trusting someone who never remembers kindness. Say thank you, return favours, and remember who stood by you.हिंदी में अर्थ
कृतघ्न को कहाँ यश, कहाँ स्थान और कहाँ सुख? कृतघ्न पर कोई भरोसा नहीं करता, और कृतघ्नता का कोई प्रायश्चित नहीं।
जिन्होंने मदद की उन्हें भूल जाना अपनी ही साख मिटा देता है। एहसान भूलने वाले पर लोग भरोसा नहीं करते। धन्यवाद कहो, उपकार लौटाओ और याद रखो कौन साथ खड़ा था।
