Katha Upanishad 2.3.3 meaning
bhayad asy-agnis tapati bhayat tapati sooryah
bhayad indrash cha vayush cha mrityur dhavati panchamah
भयादस्याग्निस्तपति भयात्तपति सूर्यः।
भयादिन्द्रश्च वायुश्च मृत्युर्धावति पञ्चमः॥
In awe of it, fire burns; in awe of it, the sun shines. In awe of it, Indra and the wind do their work, and Death, the fifth, runs about his task.
What it means
Nature runs with perfect discipline: the sun rises, fire burns, wind blows. Everything does its part within a greater order. Our own duties gain meaning when we see this.हिंदी में अर्थ
उसके भय से अग्नि जलती है, उसके भय से सूर्य तपता है। उसके भय से इंद्र और वायु अपना काम करते हैं, और पाँचवीं, मृत्यु, दौड़कर अपना कर्तव्य निभाती है।
प्रकृति पूरे अनुशासन से चलती है: सूर्य उगता है, आग जलती है, हवा बहती है। हर चीज़ एक बड़े क्रम में अपना काम करती है। यह देखकर हमारे कर्तव्य भी सार्थक लगते हैं।
