Katha Upanishad 2.2.15 meaning

na tatra sooryo bhati na chandratarakam n-ema vidyuto bhanti kutoyam agnih tam eva bhantam anubhati sarvam tasya bhasa sarvam idam vibhati

There the sun does not shine, nor the moon and stars, nor these flashes of lightning, let alone this earthly fire. Everything shines only after that shining One; by its light all this is lit.

What it means
Every light we know is borrowed from a deeper source. The awareness by which you see anything at all is the original light. Without it, even the sun would go unseen.

Spoken by Yama.
