Katha Upanishad 1.2.24 meaning

n-avirato dushcharitan n-ashanto n-asamahitah n-ashantamanaso v-api prajnanen-ainam apnuyat

No one who has not turned away from wrong conduct, who is not calm, not collected, or whose mind is restless, can reach the Self, even through cleverness.

What it means
Insight needs a clean life and a settled mind. Intelligence alone cannot see clearly through restlessness and wrongdoing. Inner work starts with how we live every day.

Spoken by Yama.
