ashareeram shareereshv-anavastheshv-avasthitam
mahantam vibhum atmanam matva dheero na shochati
अशरीरं शरीरेष्वनवस्थेष्ववस्थितम्।
महान्तं विभुमात्मानं मत्वा धीरो न शोचति॥
Bodiless within all bodies, steady among things that never stay still: knowing the Self as vast and all-pervading, the wise person does not grieve.

शरीरों में रहकर भी अशरीरी, अस्थिर चीज़ों के बीच भी स्थिर, उस महान और सर्वव्यापी आत्मा को जानकर धीर व्यक्ति शोक नहीं करता।
शरीर बदलते हैं, हालात बदलते हैं, लोग आते-जाते हैं। इन सब बदलावों में कुछ स्थिर है, यह जानना ही समझदार को हानि में भी शांत रखता है।
