Katha Upanishad 1.2.12 meaning
tam durdarsham goodham anupravishtam guhahitam gahvareshtham puranam
adhyatmayog-adhigamena devam matva dheero harshashokau jahati
The ancient divine One is hard to see, hidden deep within, set in the cave of the heart, dwelling in the depths. Knowing it through inward reflection, the wise leave both elation and grief behind.
What it means
Looking inward reveals a steady centre beneath our moods. When we touch it, life's highs and lows stop throwing us around. Calm becomes our home, not a visitor.
Spoken by Yama.
