Katha Upanishad 1.2.11 meaning

kamasy-aptim jagatah pratishtham kratoranantyam abhayasya param stomamahad urugayam pratishtham drishtva dhritya dheero nachiketotyasraksheeh

The fulfilment of all desires, the foundation of the world, endless rewards from ritual, the far shore of fearlessness, great and widely praised fame: you saw all this, wise Nachiketa, and firmly let it go.

What it means
Even fame, power and fulfilment can be set aside when you glimpse something truer. Letting go takes steadiness, not weakness, and it frees you for what really matters.

Spoken by Yama.
