Katha Upanishad 1.1.9 meaning
tisro ratreer yad avatseer grihe menashnan brahmann atithir namasyah
namas testu brahman svasti mestu tasmat prati treen varan vrineeshva
तिस्रो रात्रीर्यदवात्सीर्गृहे मेऽनश्नन् ब्रह्मन्नतिथिर्नमस्यः।
नमस्तेऽस्तु ब्रह्मन् स्वस्ति मेऽस्तु तस्मात्प्रति त्रीन्वरान्वृणीष्व॥
Honoured guest, you have stayed three nights in my house without food. I bow to you; may all be well with me. In return, choose three wishes, one for each night.

Even Death apologises and makes amends. When we let someone down, the right response is humility and a sincere effort to make it right, no matter how powerful we are.हिंदी में अर्थ
हे पूज्य अतिथि, तुम तीन रातें मेरे घर बिना भोजन के रहे। तुम्हें मेरा नमस्कार है, मेरा कल्याण हो। इसके बदले हर रात के लिए एक, तीन वर माँग लो।
स्वयं मृत्यु भी क्षमा माँगकर भरपाई करते हैं। जब हमसे किसी का अपमान हो जाए, तो कितने भी बड़े हों, विनम्रता से उसे सुधारना ही सही है।
