Katha Upanishad 1.1.17 meaning

trinachiketas tribhir etya sandhim trikarmakrit tarati janmamrityoo brahmajajnam devam eedyam viditva nichayy-emam shantim atyantam eti

One who lights this Nachiketa fire three times, joins with the three, and does the three duties, crosses beyond birth and death. Knowing the radiant, adorable divine born of Brahman, one reaches lasting peace.

What it means
Steady practice, right relationships, and faithful duty together carry us past fear. Peace is not a single event but the fruit of patient, repeated effort.

Spoken by Yama.
