Isha Upanishad 9 meaning
andham tamah pravishanti yevidyam upasate
tato bhooya iva te tamo ya u vidyayam ratah
अन्धं तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽविद्यामुपासते।
ततो भूय इव ते तमो य उ विद्यायां रताः॥
Those who follow only ritual action, without knowledge, enter blind darkness. But those who delight only in knowledge, without action, enter an even greater darkness.
What it means
Doing without understanding is blind, but understanding that never acts can be worse, because it breeds pride. A balanced life joins thinking and doing, theory and practice.हिंदी में अर्थ
जो केवल कर्मकांड में लगे रहते हैं, बिना ज्ञान के, वे घने अंधेरे में जाते हैं। पर जो केवल ज्ञान में डूबे रहते हैं, बिना कर्म के, वे उससे भी गहरे अंधेरे में जाते हैं।
बिना समझ के काम करना अंधापन है, पर ऐसी समझ जो कभी काम में न उतरे, और भी खतरनाक है, क्योंकि वह घमंड पैदा करती है। सोच और कर्म दोनों साथ चलें।
