anityo vijayo yasmad drishyate yudhyamanayoh
विजेतुं प्रयतेतारीन्न युद्धेन कदाचन।
अनित्यो विजयो यस्माद्दृश्यते युध्यमानयोः॥
Try to win over opponents, but never by fighting if you can help it — because when two sides fight, victory is never certain for either.
