payahpanam bhujanganam kevalam vishavardhanam
upadesho hi moorkhanam prakopaya na shantaye
पयःपानं भुजङ्गानां केवलं विषवर्धनम्।
उपदेशो हि मूर्खाणां प्रकोपाय न शान्तये॥
Feeding milk to snakes only increases their venom. Likewise, advice given to fools only makes them angry; it does not calm them.
