Hitopadesha 3.122 meaning

devatasu gurau goshu rajasu brahmaneshu cha niyantavyah sada kopo balavriddh-atureshu cha

Always hold back your anger toward the gods, teachers, cows, rulers and the learned — and toward children, the elderly and the sick.

What it means
Some people deserve our patience no matter what — those we revere, those who teach us, and especially those who are vulnerable. Losing your temper with a child, an elder or a patient is never strength.

Spoken by Durdarshi the vulture.
