One who can judge the threat of defeat and knows what is within their power and what is not — a person with such understanding does not collapse even in hardship.

What it means
Knowing your limits is a strength, not a weakness. When you can tell which battles you can win, you avoid needless disasters and stay steady through the ones you must face.
