stabdhasya nashyati yasho vishamasya maitree nashtendriyasya kulam arthaparasya dharmah vidyaphalam vyasaninah kripanasya saukhyam rajyam pramattasachivasya naradhipasya

The arrogant lose their good name; the unfair lose their friends; the self-indulgent lose their family's honour; the money-obsessed lose their goodness; the addicted lose the fruit of learning; the miser loses happiness; and a careless leader loses the kingdom.

What it means
Each weakness quietly destroys something precious. Pride costs reputation, unfairness costs friendship, greed costs integrity, addiction wastes talent, stinginess kills joy, and carelessness at the top ruins whole organisations.

Spoken by Stabdhakarna.
