trish-arto duhkham apnoti paratr-eha cha manavah
लोभेन बुद्धिश्चलति लोभो जनयते तृषाम्।
तृषार्तो दुःखमाप्नोति परत्रेह च मानवः॥
Greed makes the mind waver, and greed breeds endless thirst. A person tormented by that thirst finds suffering both in this world and the next.
