hariharakath-eva duritam gunashatam apy-arthita harati
सेवेव मानमखिलं ज्योत्स्नेव तमो जरेव लावण्यम्।
हरिहरकथेव दुरितं गुणशतमप्यर्थिता हरति॥
Just as servitude wipes out pride, moonlight wipes out darkness, old age wipes out beauty, and stories of God wipe out sin, the habit of begging wipes out a hundred virtues.
