Chandogya Upanishad 8.1.1 meaning

atha yad idam asmin brahmapure daharam pundareekam veshma daharosminn antarakashah tasmin yad antas tad anveshtavyam tad vava vijijnasitavyam iti

In this city of Brahman, the body, there is a small lotus-shaped dwelling, the heart, and within it a small inner space. What lies within that space should be sought; that is what one should truly long to know.

What it means
Your body is pictured as a city with a temple at its centre — your own heart. You don't have to travel far for meaning; a few quiet minutes turning inward can take you there.

Spoken by Rishi.
