Chanakya Niti 7.14 meaning
uparjitanam vittanam tyaga eva hi rakshanam
tadagodara-sansthanam pareevaha iv-ambhasam
उपार्जितानां वित्तानां त्याग एव हि रक्षणम् ।
तडागोदरसंस्थानां परीवाह इवाम्भसाम् ॥
The best way to protect the wealth you have earned is to give some of it away, just as an outflow keeps the water in a lake fresh.

कमाए हुए धन की रक्षा उसे बाँटने में ही है, जैसे तालाब के पानी को बहने का रास्ता मिलने से ही वह साफ़ रहता है।
जो धन सिर्फ़ जमा होता रहे, वह ठहरे पानी जैसा हो जाता है। बाँटना, दान और निवेश धन को बहता और स्वस्थ रखते हैं। उदारता नुकसान नहीं, समृद्धि का प्राण है।
