Chanakya Niti 7.18 meaning
gamyate yadi mrigendramandiram labhyate karikapalamauktikam
jambukalayagate cha prapyate vatsapuchchakhara-charmakhandanam
गम्यते यदि मृगेन्द्रमन्दिरं लभ्यते करिकपालमौक्तिकम् ।
जम्बुकालयगते च प्राप्यते वत्सपुच्छखरचर्मखण्डनम् ॥
Go to a lion's den and you may find a pearl from an elephant's head. Go to a jackal's den and you'll find only a calf's tail and scraps of donkey hide.

शेर की माँद में जाओ तो हाथी के मस्तक का मोती मिल सकता है; सियार की माँद में जाओ तो बछड़े की पूँछ और गधे की खाल के टुकड़े ही मिलते हैं।
क्या पाओगे, यह इस पर निर्भर है कि किसके पास जाते हो। अच्छे गुरु, मज़बूत संस्थाएँ और गंभीर लोग खोजो। ओछे लोगों के पास समय लगाने से ओछा ही मिलता है।
