Chanakya Niti 3.6 meaning
pralaye bhinnamaryada bhavanti kila sagarah
sagara bhedam ichchanti pralayepi na sadhavah
प्रलये भिन्नमर्यादा भवन्ति किल सागराः ।
सागरा भेदमिच्छन्ति प्रलयेऽपि न साधवः ॥
At the end of an age, even the oceans are said to break their shores and long to change. But good people never cross their limits, not even at the end of the world.

प्रलय के समय सागर भी अपनी मर्यादा तोड़ देते हैं और बदल जाना चाहते हैं, पर सज्जन प्रलय में भी अपनी मर्यादा नहीं छोड़ते।
चरित्र की परीक्षा उथल-पुथल में होती है। जब सब बिखर रहा हो, तब भी अपने सिद्धांतों पर टिके रहना ही इंसान को भरोसेमंद बनाता है।
