Chanakya Niti 14.6 meaning
utpannapashchattapasya buddhir bhavati yadrishee
tadrishee yadi poorvam syat kasya syan na mahodayah
उत्पन्नपश्चात्तापस्य बुद्धिर्भवति यादृशी।
तादृशी यदि पूर्वं स्यात्कस्य स्यान्न महोदयः॥
The wisdom a person has after feeling regret: if only they had it beforehand, who would not achieve great success?

पीछे मुड़कर सब साफ़ दिखता है। तरकीब यह है कि उस समझ को पहले उधार ले लो: बड़े फ़ैसले से पहले सोचो, 'बाद में किस बात का पछतावा होगा?' और उसी हिसाब से चलो।
