Chanakya Niti 13.8 meaning
rajni dharmini dharmishthah pape papah same samah
rajanam anuvartante yatha raja tatha prajah
राज्ञि धर्मिणि धर्मिष्ठाः पापे पापाः समे समाः।
राजानमनुवर्तन्ते यथा राजा तथा प्रजाः॥
When the king is righteous, the people become righteous; when he is wicked, they turn wicked; when he is average, so are they. People follow their ruler: as the king, so the people.
What it means
Whoever leads, a parent, a manager, a team captain, sets the culture by example. People copy what you do far more than what you say. If you want a better team, become a better leader.हिंदी में अर्थ
राजा धर्मी हो तो प्रजा भी धर्मी होती है, पापी हो तो प्रजा भी पापी, और साधारण हो तो प्रजा भी साधारण। लोग राजा के पीछे चलते हैं: जैसा राजा, वैसी प्रजा।
जो भी अगुआ है, माता-पिता, मैनेजर या कप्तान, वह अपने उदाहरण से माहौल बनाता है। लोग तुम्हारी बातें नहीं, तुम्हारे काम दोहराते हैं। अच्छी टीम चाहिए तो खुद अच्छे बनो।
