anagatavidhata cha pratyutpannamatis tatha dvav etau sukham edhete yadbhavishyo vinashyati

The one who prepares for what's coming and the one who thinks quickly when trouble arrives both prosper. But the one who just says 'whatever will be, will be' is ruined.

What it means
Plan ahead where you can, and stay sharp for the surprises you couldn't plan for. Passive fatalism is the real danger. Whether in career, money or health, preparation and presence of mind save you.

Spoken by Chanakya.
