aho bata vichitrani charitani mahatmanam
lakshmeem trinaya manyante tadbharena namanti cha
अहो बत विचित्राणि चरितानि महात्मनाम्।
लक्ष्मीं तृणाय मन्यन्ते तद्भारेण नमन्ति च॥
How wonderful is the way great souls behave! They treat wealth as if it were a blade of grass, yet when they have it, they bow lower under its weight.
