Chanakya Niti 13.21 meaning
prithivyam treeni ratnani annam apah subhashitam
moodhaih pashanakhandeshu ratnasanjna vidheeyate
पृथिव्यां त्रीणि रत्नानि अन्नमापः सुभाषितम्।
मूढैः पाषाणखण्डेषु रत्नसंज्ञा विधीयते॥
The earth has three true jewels: food, water and wise, kind words. Only fools give the name 'jewel' to pieces of stone.
What it means
We chase diamonds and gadgets, yet what actually keeps us alive and connected is food, clean water and good words. Value what truly sustains life, and don't waste food, water or kindness.हिंदी में अर्थ
धरती पर तीन ही असली रत्न हैं: अन्न, पानी और अच्छे वचन। मूर्ख लोग पत्थर के टुकड़ों को रत्न कहते हैं।
हम हीरे और महँगी चीज़ों के पीछे भागते हैं, पर असल में ज़िंदा और जुड़े रखते हैं अन्न, साफ़ पानी और अच्छी बातें। इनकी कद्र करो और इन्हें बर्बाद मत करो।
