Chanakya Niti 13.20 meaning

yugante prachalen meruh kalpante sapta sagarah sadhavah pratipannarthan na chalanti kadachana

At the end of an age even Mount Meru may shake, and at the end of a cosmic cycle the seven oceans may overflow, but good people never move away from a promise they have made.

What it means
Your word is your most valuable asset. In a world where commitments are easily broken, being someone who keeps promises, even when it's inconvenient, earns you rare and lasting trust.

Spoken by Chanakya.
