Chanakya Niti 13.11 meaning
dahyamanah suteevrena neechah parayashognina
ashaktas tatpadam gantum tato nindam prakurvate
दह्यमानाः सुतीव्रेण नीचाः परयशोऽग्निना।
अशक्तास्तत्पदं गन्तुं ततो निन्दां प्रकुर्वते॥
Small-minded people burn in the fierce fire of someone else's success. Unable to reach that level themselves, they start criticising.
What it means
A lot of harsh criticism is really envy in disguise. Don't let it shake you. And when you feel the urge to tear someone down, ask honestly whether you're just jealous of where they've reached.हिंदी में अर्थ
छोटी सोच वाले लोग दूसरों की कामयाबी की तेज़ आग में जलते रहते हैं। खुद उस ऊँचाई तक न पहुँच पाने पर वे बुराई करने लगते हैं।
बहुत सी कड़वी आलोचना असल में जलन होती है। उससे विचलित मत हो। और जब किसी को नीचा दिखाने का मन करे, तो ईमानदारी से पूछो कि कहीं यह जलन तो नहीं।
