Chanakya Niti 1.16 meaning
vishad apy amritam grahyam amedhyad api kanchanam
amitrad api sadvrittam balad api subhashitam
विषादप्यमृतं ग्राह्यममेध्यादपि काञ्चनम् ।
अमित्रादपि सद्वृत्तं बालादपि सुभाषितम् ॥
Take nectar even from poison, gold even from filth, good conduct even from an enemy, and a wise word even from a child.
What it means
Wisdom can come from anywhere. Don't reject a good idea because of who said it or where it came from. A humble learner picks up value from rivals, juniors and unexpected places.हिंदी में अर्थ
विष में से भी अमृत ले लो, गंदगी में पड़ा सोना भी उठा लो, शत्रु से भी अच्छा आचरण सीखो और बच्चे से भी अच्छी बात ग्रहण करो।
ज्ञान कहीं से भी मिल सकता है। अच्छी बात को इसलिए मत ठुकराओ कि वह किसने कही। विनम्र सीखने वाला प्रतिद्वंद्वी, छोटे या अनपेक्षित जगह से भी कुछ अच्छा ले लेता है।
