Chanakya Niti 1.12 meaning
ature vyasane prapte durbhikshe shatrusankate
rajadvare shmashane cha yas tishthati sa bandhavah
आतुरे व्यसने प्राप्ते दुर्भिक्षे शत्रुसङ्कटे ।
राजद्वारे श्मशाने च यस्तिष्ठति स बान्धवः ॥
Whoever stands by you in sickness, in misfortune, in famine, when enemies attack, at the court of law, and at the cremation ground — that person is your true kin.
What it means
Family isn't defined only by blood. The people who show up at hospitals, courtrooms and funerals, when it's inconvenient and painful, are your real family. Be that person for others too.हिंदी में अर्थ
जो बीमारी में, विपत्ति आने पर, अकाल में, शत्रु के संकट में, कचहरी में और श्मशान में साथ खड़ा रहे, वही सच्चा अपना है।
अपनापन सिर्फ़ खून के रिश्ते से नहीं होता। जो अस्पताल, कचहरी और श्मशान जैसे कठिन मौक़ों पर साथ आए, वही असली अपना है। तुम भी दूसरों के लिए ऐसे बनो।
