Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 5.1.1 meaning
poornam adah poornam idam poornat poornam udachyate
poornasya poornam adaya poornam ev-avashishyate
पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात्पूर्णमुदच्यते ।
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥
That is whole, this is whole. From the whole, the whole comes forth. Take the whole from the whole, and the whole still remains.
What it means
Infinity does not shrink when something is taken from it. You are not a fraction of something larger; you are whole, coming from wholeness. Giving love or time does not leave you less.हिंदी में अर्थ
वह पूर्ण है, यह पूर्ण है। पूर्ण से ही पूर्ण निकलता है। पूर्ण में से पूर्ण निकाल लो, तब भी पूर्ण ही बचता है।
अनंत में से कुछ निकालने पर वह घटता नहीं। आप किसी बड़ी चीज़ का टुकड़ा नहीं, पूर्ण से निकले पूर्ण हैं। प्रेम या समय देने से आप कम नहीं होते।
