Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.4.12 meaning
atmanam ched vijaneeyad ayam asmeeti poorushah
kim ichchan kasya kamaya shareeram anusanjvaret
आत्मानं चेद्विजानीयादयमस्मीति पूरुषः ।
किमिच्छन्कस्य कामाय शरीरमनुसञ्ज्वरेत् ॥
If a person truly knows the Self — "I am this" — then wanting what, and for whose sake, would he keep burning with the fevers of the body?
What it means
So much of our restlessness comes from feeling incomplete. Once you sense who you really are, the feverish chase for more loses its hold, because there is nothing missing to make up for.हिंदी में अर्थ
