nanyatha tekhilaguro ghateta karunatmanah
yas ta ashisha ashaste na sa bhrityah sa vai vanik
नान्यथा तेऽखिलगुरो घटेत करुणात्मनः।
यस्त आशिष आशास्ते न स भृत्यः स वै वणिक्॥
O teacher of all, it would not suit your compassionate nature otherwise. One who serves you hoping for rewards is not a servant, but a trader.

Offered any boon, Prahlada declines. Love that keeps an account book is really a business deal. Serve and love freely, and notice how much lighter it feels.हिंदी में अर्थ
हे जगद्गुरु! आपकी करुणा के लिए यह उचित नहीं होगा। जो आपसे कुछ पाने की आशा से सेवा करता है, वह सेवक नहीं, व्यापारी है।
वर माँगने को कहे जाने पर प्रह्लाद मना कर देते हैं। जो प्रेम हिसाब-किताब रखता है, वह असल में सौदा है। बिना शर्त सेवा और प्रेम करो, और देखो मन कितना हल्का लगता है।
