Srimad Bhagavatam 5.5.4 meaning

noonam pramattah kurute vikarma yad indriyapreetaya aprinoti na sadhu manye yata atmanoyam asann api kleshada asa dehah

A careless person does wrong deeds just to please the senses. I do not think this is good, because it is exactly what keeps giving the self a body, which, though temporary, brings so much pain.

What it means
Chasing every pleasure feels harmless in the moment, but it quietly builds the habits that trap us. Pausing before acting on an urge is a small act of self-respect.

Spoken by Rishabha.
